Zero Accident Policy - Policies Become Culture
ZAP - Prior to the beginning of each shift, it is the site-supervisor’s responsibility to hold a Safety Meeting. These meetings detail all potential hazards as well as ways to prevent all accidents. The Melcar Team enforces the fact that all accidents are preventable and exert “Look Up, Speak Up” exercises.
Safety Education – Each Melcar Team member completes the OSHA courses that are applicable to their task while management positions carry OSHA 30 minimum prerequisites.
Exercise – An effective safety program is without merit if not thoroughly tested and cultured to modern safety hazards. The Company engages in random site inspections where all Team members as well as sub-contractors are scrutinized and examined both individually and as a group. Detailed documentation of all safety meetings and inspections is used to reduce potential for injury to the lowest possible level.
